Yasmin’s Disability Inclusion work is driven by the belief that exclusion in education leads to exclusion in life. Through the development of the National Disability Inclusion Toolkit, she provides schools and institutions with practical, actionable strategies to create accessible and inclusive learning environments. Her work is informed by engagement with students, educators, and individuals with lived experience, highlighting how early barriers limit future opportunities. She advocates for the full implementation of frameworks such as the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, emphasizing accountability, funding, and youth-driven solutions. For Yasmin, inclusion is not optional—it is essential to building equitable systems that benefit everyone.

Climate Justice

Yasmin approaches Climate Justice as a human rights issue, recognizing that the impacts of climate change are deeply unequal. As co-founder of Green Teen Generation, she has led initiatives that turn youth-driven ideas into measurable environmental action, including a reforestation project that planted over 1,000 trees and removed tens of thousands of pounds of pollutants from the air. Her work extends to large-scale environmental education campaigns, reaching over 80,000 schools across North America and engaging millions of students in practical sustainability efforts. She has also addressed critical issues such as the monetization of wildlife and its link to global warming, as well as the disproportionate effects of climate disasters on vulnerable communities.
